Baby Chicky

I was verI didn’t expect to fall for this little chick. I’m usually drawn to other brands - I was a hardcore Jellycat fan for a long time, until their quality went down and simultaneously their price went up. So I started trying other brands. I mainly love Maileg, but I spent some time collecting Hazel Village, and recently a line by Douglas Toys caught me off guard collecting the entire line. Moving between brands actually made me pause and wonder whether it was the brand I was loyal to, or simply the toy itself.
I was considering this very thought when I decided to stop in a local toy store. It usually carries Jellycat, but Jellycat has been very harsh on their smaller shops since their new marketing strategy targets faster, larger stores to sell mass amounts of toys - hence seeing Bukowski in the shop. I thought (for a very long time) this was a lesser quality brand, cheaper, and I would say I wasn't wrong on this when considering other brands like Jellycat before the quality change. Some of their toys were drop dead HARD. Their bunnies couldn't compare. I wasn't interested.
But this day was different. I stopped in, and immediately saw the little friend that would change my mind about the brand. Instead of disregarding them, I spent more time. Picked up the chick - it's soft, beautifully made, with high-quality fabric, solid construction, and an undeniably sweet face. There’s something about it that feels thoughtful and intentional - it’s not just cute, it’s charming.
One small downside for me is the branded tag sewn onto the foot. I prefer the toy to stand entirely on its own, especially for photos, and the tag can be a bit annoying to edit out. That said, it’s easy enough to hide, and it wasn’t a dealbreaker.
In the end, I’m really glad I bought it. I absolutely love this little chick. It’s incredibly cute (almost ridiculously so), and it’s clear a lot of care went into its design and quality. Best of all, I've changed my mind on this brand entirely and am open to see what's next in cuteness for Bukowski brand!

I bought him along with Emma Bear for my daughters first Easter. He’s the softest and so well made! I will be buying him again for my nieces this year!

Baby Chicky is adorable and a great companion to Baby Ducky. Baby Chicky has the sweetest face and is very soft! The quality of the workmanship in making Baby Chicky clearly shows. I will definately make more purchases from the Bukowski Company.

I love Chicky! I actually bought one last year and my grandson loved him so of course I gave it to him! I had buy me another one.
