The Bukowski Difference
I initially found this little guy at Hicklebee's, a wonderful children's bookshop in San Jose. I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him; he sang to me for many reasons... Polio as a child (and all my toys burned), a botched "minor" surgery as an adult (with endless consequences), a burglary a few months back WHILE I WAS ASLEEP IN THE ROOM, and all the other usual (and sometimes UNusual) dings, buffets, knocks, biffs, scrapes and whatnots (... LOTS of whatnots...) that life tosses at us, along with all the good stuff... just to keep us on our toes, I guess... but he, and we, go on the best we can.
He seems so in tune with the human (and, evidently, ursine) condition, that I now have five more waiting to go to people I care about at Christmas, because I know THEY will identify with him, and will love him, too... 'cause he's us.

This is now my favorite bear. He has so much personality. So soft and huggable!
I bought two, one for me and one for my sister. We have had an off and on relationship for years. We are trying again to have a sisterly relationship and I saw this bear as a reminder to both of us that neither of us is perfect. She loved it!
